After a great high school career, Mike went on to play college hockey at Slippery Rock University, and was a big part of their national title run in the 2010-2011 season. Mike graduated cumlada from SRU in 4 years and won the award for division 1 Academic All American.
Mike was as great off the ice as he was on it. He would do anything that anyone asked of him, and he would always do it with a smile. Mike was well respected by his teammates. He would help to make them better players, but he was also made sure they had as much fun as he was having. Mike had a very successful hockey career and was admired by everyone that had the privilege to play on his team.
